We’ve been fixing and installing garage doors across New York City’s five boroughs since 2016. The crew you’ll meet here is the same group that answers your call, shows up at your door, and stands behind the work. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. Frank Deluca, Owner
I’m the one who answers when the buck needs to stop somewhere. I started Mainspring in 1984, naming it for the torsion spring that carries a door’s full weight - the part most people never think about until it snaps at 6 a.m. on a Tuesday. I’ve personally handled spring replacements in Park Slope brownstones, retrofitted carriage-house doors in the West Village, and talked more than a few Staten Island homeowners out of DIY cable repairs that would’ve cost them a finger. After 42 years, I’ve seen what happens when someone puts off a broken spring six months too long. The door doesn’t just get worse. It becomes a safety problem. I make sure our crew treats it that way from the first phone call.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus runs the repair trucks and has been with us for 14 years. He’s factory-certified on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie opener systems, and he’s the one we send when a job has stumped another company. He lives in Queens and knows the specific headache of Astoria’s narrow driveways and the low-headroom setups common in pre-war Bronx buildings. Off the clock, he rebuilds vintage motorcycles, which explains why he’s patient with seized hardware that most techs would drill out. Customers in Harlem and Washington Heights ask for him by name.

David K., Service Coordinator
David is the live voice you get when you call (877) 379-8821 at midnight on a Sunday. He’s been dispatching our technicians for 7 years and knows which truck has which springs, which tech is closest to Inwood, and which jobs need two people because the door is oversized or the basement stairs are steep. He grew up in the East Village and understands the urgency when a SoHo gallery’s roll-up won’t open an hour before a show, or when a Riverdale family’s car is trapped inside before a school morning. He tracks every call start to finish and follows up the next day to confirm the fix held.
Jin W., Apprentice Technician
Jin is in his second year with us, working toward journeyman status under our K.E.Y.S. training code. He’s already certified in torsion spring replacement and is building his expertise on the older Raynor and Craftsman systems still common in Flushing and Forest Hills co-ops. His background is in theatrical rigging, which turns out to transfer surprisingly well to cable and pulley geometry. He asks more questions than he answers right now, which is exactly what we want. Marcus has him handling tune-ups and safety inspections solo, and he’s already caught two frayed cables that homeowners hadn’t noticed.
