- The opener works perfectly in cool morning hours, then fails after noon. Heat-related board failure is textbook capacitor breakdown. The garage warms up, the capacitor’s ESR rises, and the microcontroller resets or hangs. This is why we ask when the problem happens, not just what it does.
- Complete deadness: no light, no click, no hum, but the outlet has power. The transformer or primary fuse on the board has opened. Sometimes this is just a failed transformer.
